Data we collect

We collect only what you give us voluntarily through the appointment form: name, phone, email, reason for contact, preferred day or time, and whatever message you choose to write. We do not ask for sensitive clinical information this way.

The form does not send your details to this site: it opens your own email program with the message filled in, and it reaches us only once you send it. The site uses no analytics or advertising tools and builds no user profiles.

Purpose and legal basis

The data is used solely to answer your request and arrange the appointment. The legal basis is the consent you give when submitting the form, together with the pre-contractual steps the request involves.

How long we keep it

Appointment requests and the correspondence around them are kept for 2 years after the last contact, and are then deleted. If the contact leads to a clinical record being opened, the data held in it is governed instead by the statutory retention periods for health records and, where applicable, for accounting documents.

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell or pass on personal data to third parties for commercial purposes. It may be shared with service providers strictly necessary to running the practice, bound by confidentiality obligations.

Email correspondence is handled through the email service the practice uses, which may involve data being processed outside the European Economic Area. The map on the contact page is provided by Google and is loaded only once you allow it. The site's fonts are hosted on our own server, so simply visiting the pages generates no requests to third parties.

Your rights

You may request access to your data, its correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to its processing, and withdraw consent at any time, by writing to essenciadosolivais@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).
